SolidWorks – Weldments

The purpose of this advanced weldments CAD course is to provide knowledge on the design of a weldment structure, as a single multibody part. This allows learners to create/modify a complex structure before the final joining process. Students learn necessary skills to utilize Solidworks software tools to generate structural members that involve standard or custom sketched segments. Students will be introduced to creating a weldment profile, placing the weldment profile, basic and advanced weldment part creation, weldment corner modification, end caps, 3D-Sketch creation, Weldment part cutlist, placing gaps at corners, and segment intersections.
