MMRI Industrial Training Program – Advanced Manufacturing Processes

This course combines several one-day modules to provide students with key knowledge they will need to understand advanced processes used in industry. Topics covered include: forming processes such as extrusion and forging, how material properties affect forming processes, industrial applications of various materials, phases and their transformations, the iron-carbon system, phase diagrams, heat treatment, metal cutting (turning, milling, drilling), machine tools, CNC systems, CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, static and dynamic stiffness, resonance, vibration response, and additive manufacturing techniques.
