Machine Shop 3

Intended for individuals employed, or seeking employment, in the industrial mechanical area who wish to enhance their knowledge of general machine shop practice and/or to improve practical skills on specific, conventional machine tools. Machine Tool Operators may operate machine tools such as lathes, drilling machines, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose machines to machine work piece on a production basis. This is a hands-on course studying safety procedures, advanced turning operations including Acme and multi-start V-thread turning, taper, multi-throw eccentric, and elliptical turning, and more advanced applications for milling operations. They also practice related operational calculations.
