Intended for individuals employed in fluid power-related occupations who must work with systems from a practical standpoint, but who have little or no formal training in fluid power. The course is designed to take the basic hydraulic principles learned in “Introduction to Hydraulics” and apply those principles to several types of control valving & accessories found in a hydraulic system. The student will become familiar with these types of control valves, accessories and hydraulic fluids and how/where to apply these components in an operating hydraulic system to assure efficient operation of a system for a specific application. Utilizing specific laboratory equipment the student will have opportunity to do hands on lab experiments with typical valving/accessories found in industry today.
